Megan and Hans are two of the most down to earth and humble people you will ever be privileged to meet. At our first meeting, they shared with me that their original plans were to have a traditional wedding, but later decided that it simply didn't resonate with them, so they changed their plans. Another factor was that Hans would be needing open heart surgery just two months before their wedding date. Keeping their wedding intimate and limited to just immediate family and friends was the perfect decision for their big day.
The ceremony was held in the backyard of a beautiful Malibu home, and I arrived to find Megan and her "practically twin" sister (made even more confusing with their matching outfits!) sitting on the floor drinking wine and eating crackers off of a paper plate (definitely my kind of people)!
Hans and Megan decided to forgo a first look and see each other down the aisle, where not a single eye was dry. The sun decided to peak through the clouds as they were exchanging their personalized vows, casting the perfect glow from the sky onto the couple.
After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife, everyone partook in a champagne toast, and Megan and Hans whisked themselves away to steal a few quiet moments alone. They soon joined the cocktail hour, full of more hugs, tears, and laughs as they told stories and recalled childhood memories.
The next stop was Nobu restaurant, where we couldn't have asked for a more 24k sunset, and Megan and Hans got to enjoy some quiet moments and snuggles on the beach. As soon as the sun went down, we joined the rest of the guests as they toasted with their families and celebrated with their friends.
Megan and Han's wedding was the perfect version of them, and it was everything they wanted it to be.
I am honored that they invited me to tell this story of such a truly magical day.
